Our award-winning BigFish Smoked Loch Trout is made to our own recipe in our Grimsby smokehouse.
This is made from a strain of slow-grown rainbow trout. From the same family as salmon, it makes a fantastic smoked product, but with a uniquely delicious, slightly sweeter flavour.
Just like our Smoked Salmon, our Smoked Loch Trout is cured in the traditional way, oak smoked and finely sliced. Absolutely fantastic on toast, for canapés or even just in a very special sandwich!
This product is available both chilled with a 'use by' date of 21 days, or frozen which should be used within 12 months. Smoked fish keeps extremely well in the freezer, simply defrost the pack overnight in the fridge and use as you normally would.
