BigFish Brand is produced by the team at JCS Fish in Grimsby, proud to be family firm.
JCS Fish is owned and run by husband and wife team, Andrew and Louise Coulbeck. They both come from fish-expert families and were born and bred in Grimsby, Britain's seafood town.
Andrew and Louise set up JCS Fish back in 2000 when they had the idea to make farmed salmon more accessible to everyone by preparing, portioning and freezing it. Louise says: "JCS Fish grew naturally out of our family involvement in Richard Coulbeck (RC) Limited and then Jack Smith Limited. Andrew had gained so much knowledge and experience of salmon from Jack that a new business focused on farmed salmon seemed like an obvious idea."
And so JCS Fish was born. It's first customers were catering companies, but BigFish Brand soon followed. With it's distinctive black livery and its easy to use packaging, it's rapidly become established in farm shops, independent retailers and online including through Muscle Foods and Ocado.
JCS Fish now employs around forty people. Our BigFish Brand is established and growing and we're excited that it is helping us share new ideas and our love of healthy fish with more people!
