Why not celebrate #nationalfishandchip day with this simple salmon version of a great British favourite?

With just a few ingredients from your freezer, it takes just a few minutes to whizz up this Omega-3 rich version of everyone's favourite classic!

Ingredients

    BigFish Brand Natural fish fillets (either Natural or Organic Salmon or try it with our Sea Trout)

  • 1

    Pack frozen oven chips (for indulgence, we like McCain Simply Gorgeous chips)

  • 1

    Cup frozen peas

Method

  • 1.

    Preheat the oven to 190°C or Gas Mark 5.

  • 2.

    Remove all the packaging from the salmon fillets and loosely wrap in lightly oiled tin foil, then place on a baking tray. Pop the tray in the oven and cook for 30-40 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.

  • 3.

    Put frozen chips on a pre-heated tray with a deep edge and cook as per instructions. 

  • 4.

    Cook the peas: bring a pan of water to the boil and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender.

  • 5.

    Take salmon and chips from the oven, put on warmed plates and serve with a dollop of your favourite sauce!
