Silver recognition for our ‘green’ efforts

21 Dec 2018

We’re pleased and delighted to end a busy year for BigFish on a ‘Green’ high by again achieving Silver accreditation to the Investors in the Environment (IiE) scheme.

IiE is a national programme designed to audit and certify organisations for good environmental practice.  It aims to help smaller business to save time and money, reduce their impact on the environment and be promoted for their green credentials.

We have participated in IiE since 2015.  It means we are comprehensively and independently audited each year on our environmental approach, including a review of the way we use energy, water and transport; how our business deals with waste and recycling; our interaction with the local community and our overall approach to improving our environmental impact.

This year we were proud to set stronger packaging goals for ourselves in a new Packaging & Recycling Policy and also to switch our new range of BigFish Fish Cakes into fully recyclable cardboard packs.

  • “There’s plenty more to do but we are pledged to keep our focus on being an environmentally responsible business and our IiE status underlines this. Here’s to an even greener 2019!”
